Profile Summary
Profile Summary
I worked from a very young age in my home country - South Africa. I started professional farming for my local church in 1999 when I was 17 years old. This is where I first learned about the essentials of working and business. This included managing myself, my colleagues, the livestock, the equipment, and resources. Farming is basically about meeting the everyday challenges of disruptive change through innovation and strategy. I continued in this career path and became a Farm Manager in Zambia in 2004 and in Tanzania in 2006. My experience and expertise in managing and maintaining various heavy machineries and equipment allowed me to have the opportunity to become the Site Manager for the Antrak-SDV Buzwagi Barrick Gold Mine Project in Tanzania in 2008. I was responsible for 30 staff members and liaising with different stakeholders to ensure the success of the project. My performance in this role guaranteed continuous engagement by SDV as the Transport Manager for their shareholder company Bollore Logistics, which is where I progressed into an international business manager by developing new ways of operating, mobilizing a diverse workforce and maximising profitability.

I truly became a transformational and commercial leader when I established Heavy Lift Logistics East Africa for Kenfreight (MSC Shipping Group) and managed the group’s fleet in Kenya, Uganda, Rwanda, Burundi, Tanzania and South Sudan in 2011. I focused more on delivering results and reflected on setting higher impact goals. I also engaged in mentorship and coaching. I exhibited expertise in the field of heavy lift engineering and maintenance including responsibilities related to technical, operations, marketing, and health and safety. This led to my move to Ghana in 2017 to replicate the same international commercial success, professional growth, and business profitability for BAJ Freight Logistics Limited. I was the Head of Engineering at Atlantic Terminal Services Limited inside the Port of Takoradi. As a member of the Senior Leadership Team, the aim was to create a competitive environment within the maritime sector for trade through increased port efficiency which will then stimulate the economy. This requires integrating the use and impact of technology and globalising the business. I joined the Africa Global Logistics team in Kenya on January 2024 as the Regional Projects and Technical Manager. AGL plays an active role in the region's major development projects with investments in state-of-the-art equipment and customised logistics solutions that promote innovation in the field.
